Now It's The General's Fault
More and more these days, the once middle of the road McCain, looks like he made a deal 6 years ago when he dropped out of the 2000 presidential race.
According to MSNBC, at today's confirmation hearing for Army chief of staff, McCain stated of nominee Gen. George Casey: “I do not in any way question your honor, your patriotism or your service to our country, I do question some of the decisions and judgments you have made over the past two and a half years as commander of Multi-National Forces in Iraq,” he added, "During that time, things have gotten markedly and progressively worse, and the situation in Iraq can now best be described as dire and deteriorating.”
Wow...McCain is really starting to sound like a descendant of the Bush Administration. Is it just me or is McCain trying to pass blame for the failure in Iraq from Dubya to the General?
When McCain dropped out in 2000, could part of the deal be that Bush would endorse him in 2008 as long as McCain supported his agenda? It starting to sound like that to me. I once felt that McCain's central ideas could make him a presidential candidate that I would posibly consider. But not anymore...He is off and running to the far right. Something this country doesn't need in 2008.
