A Deer in the Headlights

It looks like CNN hit the "on" switch a little early the other day by showing Dubya practicing his speech 45 seconds before he was to give his nationaly televised speech from the oval office. The network says it was a mistake, but conservatives are saying it was another way the liberal media is trying to make Dubya look bad. I wonder what they would say if Fox News made the same mistake?

Personally, I think Dubya does a fine job looking stupid without any help from the media. I mean check out this video...Talk about a deer in headlights. He makes us so proud...Yeah right!!!

That was actually NBC’s fault. They were operating the pool camera in the Oval Office.

Bush wasn’t rehearsing. NBC actually cued him to start a few minutes early by accident.

The speech wasn’t supposed to begin until 8:01 p.m. Someone at CNN watching the feed saw his lips moving and punched him up early.

Meanwhile NBC realized their error and told him to stop (which was caught on CNN). Let’s see you get cut off in the middle of a speech without looking at little confused.

You can read all about it here.

Look Aaron, I’m becoming less of a Bush fan every day. But knowing the TV business as I do, I can tell you this is no big deal. I’d even say to poke fun at the president over this particular incident is a cheap shot. Stick to his much more genuine blunders—like Iraq and Katrina.

Oh cummon..... I lost count how many shots you republicans took at Clinton during his 8 years....You know the saying, "What goes around comes around". I know this is no big deal and can understand why he becamed confused (again). But the fact of matter is, he looks funny sitting there in Oval Office looking very confused...It's comical. And then when conservatives sit there and say it's another conspiracy by the liberal media...well, you have make fun of it even more (even when a industry insider like yourself says it's no big deal). Even Dave Letterman Jon Stewart talked about it on their shows...It's Funny stuff.
